Isabella Wishlow (she/her)
Isabella Wishlow is a dance artist from Regina, Saskatchewan. FadaDance has fueled her love for dance and shaped the way she moves. She is a captivating performer whose movement is described as intricate, playful, passionate and vigorous. Performing, collaborating and sharing the joy that dance sparks is what drives Isabella.
She has studied dance since she was five years old, primarily at FadaDance Studio. As part of the FadaDance Youth Company, she had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica (2009), Taiwan (2012) and Denmark (2015) to perform at Dance and the Child International conference (daCi).
Since 2019, Isabella has danced the Trails ensemble project choreographed by Misty Wensel. She performed a work in progress of Trails in Trespassers Waltz in Fall 2020 as part of the National Arts Center’s Grand Acts of Theater. In June 2022 she performed in Holloway choreographed by Misty Wensel and the Trails ensemble. In August 2022 Isabella performed in b(reach), a dance film project choreographed by Heather Cameron. Recently, Isabella has been involved with the FadaDance Youth Company, she choreographed a piece for ‘Rivulets’ in 2023 and ‘Unravel & Thread’ in 2024.
As a solo dance artist, Isabella has hosted dance workshops for all ages and abilities. Dance Dance Isolation was created in collaboration with the Creative City Centre. DDI is a virtual dance class to encourage folks to keep dancing through the lonely winter months exacerbated by pandemic isolation.
Most recently, Isabella choreographed and performed her first solo work as a member of the emerging dance artist ensemble for ‘Unravel & Thread’. A double billed FadaDance show featuring emerging dance artists and the FadaDance Youth Company. Creating this solo work has been inspiring to her to continue developing her career as a dance artist.
